Repertoire

Matei's repertoire encompasses works from Classical, Romantic and French Impressionism. He is also highly regarded as an interpreter of 20th Century repertoire, and especially South African contemporary works, having introduced many pieces to audiences. He also conducts large choral works like Handel's Messiah and Haydn's Creation as well as concerts of opera arias.
